Let's try this again.

Wow! It's been a while. I've been pretty busy.........not getting stuff done. Someday I'll conquer this whole procrastination thing and there will be rejoicing by all. (Well, at least by those in my house and maybe a few others.)

Despite my lack of productivity, I have finished pulling together a costume for my son, which I am very excited about. He is going to be the cutest mini- Indiana Jones ever. I'm not biased or anything, nooooo not me. I wanted to make him an Elvis costume for this year, but I knew that was too ambitious for the time frame. So how did I go from Elvis to Indiana Jones? It all started with a fake leather jacket my husband bought for our son. I thought about how easy it would be to get just a few more items to pull off the look and how reusable most of the items would be.

Leather jacket - check
Khaki pants - check
Lighter khaki shirt - problem; easily solved by tea-dyeing a white shirt - check
Satchel & Whip - quick trip to the thrift store, a little crafting - check
Brown shoes - unexpected thrift store score, his size, only $2 - check
Hat - ordered and expecting tomorrow - half check

I can't wait to put him in his costume!
